What type of project do you need help with?
The right steps to ensure a successful launch for your commercial or residential interior design project:
INTRODUCTION
1
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Let's meet to talk about what you would like to accomplish for your home or business' design, or renovation needs. During this time I will be making detailed notes and providing suggestions on how to move forward. I will take this information back to my desk and come up with a design concept that can show you the possibilities for your space that match your vision or brand.
BUILD TRUST
2
FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT
At our second meeting I will present to you my thoughts and initial design concepts on how to achieve the optimal renovation. After we agree with the steps on how to move forward, we'll move into the quotation and design development phase of the project. This is where a retainer for design services and project management will be issued.

QUOTATION & DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
In order to quote a project, it's important to have developed design plans. These include: kitchen or bath designs, proposed space plans and material selections. I'll need approximately 60 minutes to survey your existing space. This will provide enough information to develop the first set of proposed plans. When you approve the designs and materials, I can pass these off to trusted renovation companies or trades people to give you an estimate that relates directly to the designs we've collaborated on. The advantage of using me vs. a renovation company for design and project management implementation, is that I can deliver a unique design that compliments you or your brand and I act on your behalf in dealings with contractors. I become your mediator and go-to consulting person.
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
4
BUILD A TEAM
Once you approve the construction quotations, we decide which contractor to use depending on cost, quality and timelines. A deposit and a payment plan will be issued and we can move forward with booking trades people. I will also place orders for any furniture or materials that we will need for the design to take place.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
5
IMPLEMENT
During the construction timeline I will act as the project manager. This means that we'll have weekly site visits and I'll be in constant communication with the tradespeople to understand if timelines are being met. All the while, making sure that the quality of work being executed is of high standards.
PROJECT CLOSE-OUT
6
THE RESULTS
A week before the project closes, this is known as 'substantial completion'. Daily lists are made to make sure that the tradespeople can commit to a closing date as promised. A formal punch-list will also be made before the final payment is issued.
